BUSINESS CARDS- FINAL DRAFTS AND CARDS

After going through my recent illustrations I created my final ideas for the cards I wanted printed. After going through the sample packs, I decided to go with Moo- they had good quality products and their website was modern and easy to use.

I downloaded their templates to ensure I got the exact right size, and started making up the backs of the cards with designs that I thought reflected my style and also showed off my favourite pieces of work:

After showing them to George she liked the black textures/ blue deer/ cropped blue deer cards best, as they all looked good together. By putting my name on both sides- as I had done with the snake and forest designs, might put people off picking one up if they just like having an image to pin up on the wall/ on the fridge etc.
I wanted to go for a really minimal and bold front- straight to the point. George like the 3rd one down, and suggested that I made my name a different colour to set it apart from the rest of the test- I went for blue to match the deer.

My final designs looked really good as a set- there is a definite colour palette and it also shows off my looser, textural work as well as my more detailed, painted designs.

When the business cards arrived, I was really happy with the quality of the cards and how they were presented. They arrived in a smart black box, which also has a divider where you can separate other business cards you have collected from your own. I think they look really good as a set, and I would definitely use Moo again for any future printing.
