PROMOTIONAL ITEMS- APPLYING ILLUSTRATIONS TO PRODUCTS

For the mugs I really like the boldness of the stand alone images, whereas the all over images don't quite fit the space how I would like. I do really like the fresh colours on the bright white mug with the painted forest mug. If the moomin image fit the shape and size of the mug better then I think it would be a really nice design, but because it is a squareish shape it doesn't look quite right on the mug.

Again the stand alone images look best on the background of the white t-shirt- although I do like how the forest looks. One of the designs is a screen print from first year (the one with the knife and the skull face) but I always thought it would be cool on a t-shirt. I tried to use bold and eye-catching designs, and try to create designs that I would wear and buy.

Since I think my work is quite suited to children's illustration, I applied this idea to children/baby clothes:

I picked illustrations that were appropriate for children, using animals and my 'cuter' drawings.

Compared to the other products I think the phone cases work well with both an all over design and a stand alone image. I also tried a pattern which i think also works well.

Below I used my repeat patterns and created a couple of new ones out of current illustrations to create wrapping paper, which is probably my favourite of the products:

The shower curtains are just a fun and different item- I especially like how the giant foot looks like its dipping it's toe into the actual bath tub.
